Great Data Tools for Children Related Applications

Here is another one of those great go to data resources that I wanted to share for your grantwriting toolbox...Kids Count Data Books funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

The New York State Council on Children and Families, the NY grantee for the Kids Count project just emailed out about the availability of their Kids County 2011 Data Book as a pdf or hard copy.  If you are doing nonprofit/grantwriting work in New York, and want to access your own copy of the full data, click here. Or if you want to use the data interactively and select by county, you can go here.

If you are doing nonprofit/grantwriting work related to children in a different state or nationwide and you haven't downloaded the National 2011 Kids Count Data Book or want to access individualized information about a different state, you can do so here.

I'm curious to know what some of your other favorite data sources are for children related projects, let me know!
