Below are funding opportunities of interest that I have
learned about/received RFP notifications about in the past week that I wanted
to share.
Caregivers
Deadline: January
27, 2012
The seed grants will provide startup funds for new caregiving programs that adapt programs/best practices identified through the National Family Caregiving Award to the unique needs of caregivers in their own communities. Grantees are encouraged to develop plans for sustaining these replicated programs. As a resource to applicants and the caregiving community at large, a Replication Guide has been created that features the winners of the National Family Caregiving Awards from 2006-2010.
All non-profit organizations
that support family caregivers as a significant part of their mission are
encouraged to apply. All applicants must be designated as 501(c)(3)
organizations and have established caregiving programs.
Community Development
Deadline: January 5, 2011
Created by the National Endowment
for the Arts in 1991, Your Town aims to enhance the quality of life and
economic viability of rural areas through planning, design, and creative
placemaking. This program empowers local citizens to help capitalize on unique
local and regional assets in order to guide the civic development of their own
communities.
This program is intended to help
communities with populations of less than 50,000 and/or towns located in a
non-metropolitan county or in a metropolitan county on the urban fringe. The
terms "community" and "town" are broadly interpreted; they
can relate to the area within a town's borders, or a town and its surrounding
area.
The purpose of this Program
Solicitation is to select an organization (Cooperator) to coordinate all Your
Town activities nationally.
Environment
Deadline: January
23, 2012
EPA
expects to award between $1.8 to $3.8 million in grants for projects across the
country that will contribute to improved water quality and community
revitalization. The goal of these Urban Waters Small Grants is to fund
research, studies, training, and demonstration projects that will advance the
restoration of urban waters by improving water quality through activities that
also support community revitalization and other local priorities. The funding
is part of EPA’s Urban Waters program, which supports communities in their
efforts to access, improve, and benefit from their urban waters and the
surrounding land.
Two webinars have been scheduled to assist those interested
in applying for the program.
